The Profit and Loss (P&L) details all expenses from the business throughout the month. We recommend reviewing this on a monthly basis to ensure all financial data is reflected as you expect. Follow the steps below to utilize this page to its full advantage.
- Log into Edge Web
- Click “Financials” on the left navigation menu
- Select “Profit and Loss”
Single Location View
- Select "Single Location" to view only one location's data
- Set your filters to the applicable ranges
The period is located directly beneath the Single Location tab. Choosing the various periods can provide different reports to help you understand your business on a standard, monthly, or historical basis.
- Standard : This view will give you the consolidated total for each line item in the date range that you have selected
- By Month : This view will show the total of each line item by month in a side-by-side comparison. This is recommended for comparing months or to view a year-to-date P&L
- Compare : This view allows you to compare two periods at the same time. This view gives flexibility to manipulate periods and date ranges. This is recommended for comparing quarter-by-quarter financials or one month the previous year to the same month this current year
The date manipulates the range of data you wish to view:
- Click on the "Date" dropdown
- To adjust the starting month, click the desired date within the first box
- To adjust the ending month, click the desired date within the second box
If you have more than one location, select the desired location in the "Location" dropdown. This will manipulate the data for that specific store while applying any previously selected filters.
Multiple Location View:
- Select "All Locations" to view all of your locations data
- Set your filters to the applicable ranges
