New York Sales Tax Setup Instructions v2

The instructions below are to provide Ceterus with third party access to your New York sales tax account:

1. Log in to NY.gov.

2. Click "Services" in top left corner

3. Under "Business", click "User Summary"

4. On far right, click green "Add User" button

5. Fill out User Info

• First name: Ceterus

• Last Name: Accounting

• Email: access@ceterus.com

• Phone number: 269-359-7621

6. Fill out Login Information

• Username: [Your choice] 

• Temporary password: CeterusTax123! Note: This is the recommended temp password because their parameters are long (14 characters)

7. Click Save & Continue

8. Click Next, Choose Yes to Granting us authority to file, then click Next again

9. Choose Administrative Rights below

• Manager Users

  • not Manage Users (First option)

• Manage Tax Professionals

  • manage tax professionals' access to tax info for your business but not delegate this right to others (Second option)

10. Then click Save and Continue

11. You’re done! Return to Edge to provide us with the username and temporary password you created for us.
